Rancho Carrillo Community - Rick Engineering Company's Civil Engineering Division prepared the Master Plan for this Rancho Carrillo 600-acre new community that included an elementary school site, a park, a community center, and a day-care center. The Plan preserves 250 acres of open space, with approximately 1 mile of public trails. Designs were supplied for 3 miles of major roadway and one mile of trunk sewer line.

Rancho Carrillo HOA - Rancho Carrillo is managed by The Prescott Companies under the direction of Cynthia Gibson, General Manager, and Vicki MacHale, Community Manager. Rancho Carrillo Trails - RANCHO CARRILLO TRAILS - The entire trail length is approximately 4 miles with 2 closed loop routes. The trail to the east of Melrose connects to the San Marcos trail system in the open space corridor at Carlsbad's eastern border. The trail west of Melrose will connect with the future trails of Bressi Ranch, Villages of La Costa, and Alga Norte Park. The trail is unpaved with gentle slopes.

The Villages of Rancho Carrillo - The Villages of Rancho Carrillo is a master planned community, which will consist of eighteen villages. The centerpiece of Rancho Carrillo lies within the Leo Carrillo Ranch Park.
